Michael C. Yang

    Board Certification: Certified in both Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by American Board of Anesthesiology

    Michael is a Pain Management Specialist in his private practice, El Dorado Pain Management Center, and volunteering as an Assistant clinic professor and attending physician in the Division of Pain Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at U.C. Davis Medical Center.

    Previously, he worked as an Attending Anesthesiologist at Jameson Memorial Hospital, a Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and a Research Scientist in the Department of Clinical Investigation at the Texas Center for Infectious Disease. Michael has now been serving El Dorado, Sacramento, and Amador counties for over 10 years.

    Aida S. Phelan, MD

      Dr. Phelan, graduated from Florida University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.  Dr. Phelan received her Medical degree and Masters of Public Health from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA.  After completing her residency in anesthesiology at Tulane Medical Center, she moved to California and completed fellowship training in Pain Medicine at UC Davis Medical Center.  Upon graduating from fellowship, Dr. Phelan remained as an attending physician and assistant professor in the Division of Pain Medicine at UC Davis for over 12 years.  She is now in private practice with El Dorado Pain Management Center.

      Dr. Phelan is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management.  She is an active member of American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Medical Association, and the International Spine Intervention Society.  Dr. Phelan is fluent in Spanish.

      Lisa Herrera

      Practice Manager

        Lisa has eight years experience working with El Dorado Pain Management Center and Michael Yang, M.D., Lisa practices a strong technical as well as administrative, background and is committed to the medical profession offering her quality of patient care, dedicated beyond the normal expectations of her career.

        She is effective at dealing with complaints and plays a critical role in setting strategic direction and useful goals for this practice by assessing what is needed and recommending ways to achieve success. She effectively motivates the staff by providing an environment rich in communication and professional opportunities which improves our practice and quality of patient care. Ultimately, Lisa hopes to improve our patients' health and wellness, self-esteem and most importantly their quality of life.
